IHSS LIVE SCAN : FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. WHEN DO I NEED TO GET MY FINGERPRINTS TAKEN AS AN IHSS PROVIDER ?
You will be eligible to take your fingerprints for IHSS when you complete the enrollment process, which is (1) attending an orientation, and (2) completing the state-required enrollment form & agreement. Then you will be provided the "Request for Live Scan" form by the IHSS Program.
2. IS THIS A DOJ/CBI APPROVED LIVE SCAN SITE ?

We are Notary Public Center operating for Inglewood Live Scan, in Inglewood, California.
3. WHO PAYS FOR THE FINGERPRINTING & HOW MUCH IS IT ?
You , as the IHSS Provider, will have to pay out-of-pocket for the fingerprinting and CBI process. We charge $55 and it includes the following: the live scan, fingerprinting, and the background check.
We accept, Cash, Credit & Debit Card as payment.
4. WHAT MUST I TAKE WITH ME TO THE LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING SITE ?
You must bring:
- The enclosed Request for Live Scan Form (usually provided in an envelope or your orientation package).
- Your Valid Photo ID ( i.e. Drivers License, State ID Card, Passport)
- Your Payment of $55 (Cash, Credit or Debit)
5. WHAT HAPPENS AT THE LIVE SCAN SITE ?
The live scan technician will make a record of your fingerprints via live scan. The process is no more than 10 to 15 minutes.
6. WHAT IF I HAVE ALREADY HAD A LIVE SCAN DONE BEFORE ?
Although you may have already taken a live scan before, you are still required to take a new live scan as an IHSS Provider
